About Us

The Wild Hare is a small apothecary and cafe ran by two practicing witches. They hope to also bloom from this endeavor a budding covenstead - a place for witches, mages, alchemists, apothecarists, and other magic users alike to gather and practice their crafts together in a safe space.If you are interested in finding new tomes to borrow from in a variety of languages and magical cultures, have a safe place to practice your craft, have friendly sparring or magical training sessions with others on the lawn, or are otherwise looking for comraderie with other magic users, The Wild Hare is the place for you!All roleplayers of all experience levels are welcome. Staff at The Wild Hare will be denoted with the Looking to Meld Materia tag, and the coven also has a few mentors who would be happy to share their skills and chat with new like-minded magical individuals! They will be denoted with the Looking for Party tag. Please reach out to one of these members should you like someone to chat with.

Owner, Mistweaver & Witch

A native of Golmore Jungle, Theija aims to bring the magical practices of her homeland to the western Eorzea through the opening of The Wild Hare in The Black Shroud, as she begins discovering her own magical prowess along the way.She hopes to build a coven of like-minded mages, witches, and alchemists who are interested in furthering and sharing their knowledge of magical practices from around the world, resulting in the weaving of a community of diverse practitioners into a colorful tapestry of magickal and healing arts.When not in the shop, she can be found with her family and members of her Free Company.

Senior Staff, Whisky Witch

Hingan birthed, Utayuu left her home to discover the wider world. The world eventually lead her to discover a passion for whisky and the emotions that the hearth and bar could offer. Using these concepts as a domain of her own, she was able to draw upon her Craft to extend her talents. Known for her eccentric monster-meals and magical beverages, the Whisky Witch sought out others who chose non-conventional magics.Finding her home in the Covenstead, she is excited to see what new magic she can work through her brews.She is often found at Spearsong Distillery outside of Wild Hare hours.

Bartender, Summoner

Also native to the Golmoran wilds but raised as an Ishgardian from early childhood, Astarion is a distinguished gentleman, an academic, and above all, a self-proclaimed magician of the summoning arts. Asta is never without his luminous companions, whom serve as both his partners in combat and as loyal, mostly-incorporeal friends.Now an assistant proprietor of the Wild Hare, Astarion hopes to encourage the free and unadultered practice of magic, striving to offer counseling and teaching to all those who ask for it, especially in the arcane arts, whilst brewing up beverages fit for champions. For, through providing flavorful drinks and high-quality medicinals, he believes, strong bonds can be forged regardless of background or magical discipline.Outside of the Hare, Astarion is likely to be found perusing libraries, soaring on the backs of winged steeds, and investigating matters of voidsent possessions.

▍ 𓍊𓋼   Lyselle Dawnsinger    𓍊𓋼

Lead Mentor, Mage

Lyselle is native to the far north of Tural, born to an isolated and certainly lost tribe of Au Ra known as the Dawnsingers. With no grasp of the magical arts or aether, her tribe was religious and warlike to the extreme in order to survive in their desolate lands. She had to leave her tribe when she discovered her magic potential. She sought shelter with the Whalaqee who taught her Blue Magic, before coming to Eorzea.Through the Wild Hare, Lyselle hopes to teach other fledgling mages how to use their magic safely, so they do not unintentionally harm themselves and others with it like she did. While at the coven, she openly admits to using White Magic as well as Blue, the former under the auspices of the Elementals and Padjal.Lyselle is a wild card. Outside of the Wild Hare, she could be doing anything at any time for any reason. Trying to understand what goes through the mind of a feral blue mage is a fast-track to madness.
